About Me
Hi, I'm Dasha. I'm a UX designer born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and now based in Los Angeles.
Before I landed in design, I bounced around a lot - journalism, hospitality, music, film. Looking back, I wasn't actually jumping between industries; I was chasing the same thing in each one: solving problems. Understanding what was broken, talking to people about it, and figuring out creative ways to fix it.
That thread led me to UX Design, and it clicked. Here's why: in every role, every industry, the core work was the same - listen, understand, design with intention to make people's lives better. Except in UX, that's literally the job.

I work across B2B SaaS, logistics, email platforms, learning systems - anywhere there's complexity and users trying to get something done. The domain changes, but the approach stays the same: dig into the problem, talk to real people, and design something that actually works.
When I'm not designing, you'll find me in a wetsuit somewhere off the California coast. Surfing teaches you patience, humility, and that sometimes the best solution is the simplest one.

I believe good design is about empathy. It's about watching how people actually work and building something that fits their reality, not forcing them to adapt to yours. I bring strategic thinking and a solid design foundation to that work, but what actually matters is understanding why something needs to change and for whom it needs to change.
